As of June 2, 2020, the beaches in Carlsbad Village are back open for sitting and lounging as well as running, jogging, surfing and swimming. Coastal cities and State Parks have worked together with the county on how beach restrictions could be lifted while continuing to have the public’s health and safety in mind.
Although beach parking will remain closed countywide, our properties are steps away from the sand and will not require driving. While the social distancing rules will still apply, there’s enough space on the sand for everyone and you should have no issue finding a place to lounge 6 feet apart from others. We highly suggest you carry a face covering with you when walking through crowded areas, but other than that, you can work on your tan mask-free!
With this exciting news, there’s no reason not to come socially distance on the beaches in Carlsbad Village!
